What is PC-Scope Technology?
In the early 1990's, we began by retrofitting conventional microscope stands - attaching stepper motors to manipulate the internal adjustments of each microscope and a video camera to provide additional imaging capabilities. To improve performance and reduce overall cost, we redesigned the optical microscope in 1995, optimizing it for motorized interface rather than hands-on touch-and-feel. Thus, the PC-Scope, a modular and highly adaptable design architecture, was born.

How adaptable is PC-Scope Technology?
Over the last two decades, the PC-Scope has been configured for many unique robotic applications including automated comet assay (single cell gel electrophoresis), ballistics/forensics identification, semiconductor process material micro-alignment, protein crystallography databasing/imaging, radioactive material failure analysis and mixed oxide fuel quality assurance inspection, remote entomology/invasive species detection, and virtual/digital (telemedicine, telepathology) microscopy.
